HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY (HNS) 2022

A Housing Needs Survey was carried out across the village during the summer of 2022. The HNS is an occasional document that helps inform Lavenham CLT, parish council, the neighbourhood plan revision group and the planning decision makers at Babergh District Council (BDC).

Lavenham CLT (CLT) commissioned Community Action Suffolk (CAS) to undertake this Housing Needs Survey. This was funded through a grant administered by BDC.

Community Action Suffolk (CAS) is an independent organisation which has many years’ experience in undertaking these surveys and has carried them out in the past for the parish council. All information received is treated in strictest confidence by CAS and NOT shared with any other third party.  They will only make available the generic headline findings.  No personal details are requested or shared.

This survey at this time is important to keep up to date our data base as evidence of community need.  The successful Peek Close development was based on previous HNS data.

The final HNS comprises two documents, an Executive Summary which can be accessed here and the full report which has restricted access due to potential commercial sensitivity.  This full report (and the Executive Summary) was shared with Lavenham parish council, the neighbourhood plan revision group and BDC in early November 2022.
