MEET THE BOARD
![]() Our Chairman, Mr Carroll Reeve, was the steering force in preparing the Neighbourhood Plan for the village in his role as Chairman of the Parish Council. He understands the housing needs of the village and the people who live in it. He also enjoys a successful track record with other village initiatives over a twenty year period. Previously, Mr Reeve was the chairman of a financial institution. |
![]() Our Treasurer, Mr Andrew Flatt is a retired chartered accountant. Currently, chair of the governing body of a school, trustee of a foundation supporting deprived children and a business mentor. Previously, he was a partner with a firm of charted accountants. |
Our Secretary Sonia Davis enjoyed a varied and interesting career as a police officer for 25 years. She served in a wide variety of roles including the Mounted Branch, policing many demonstrations and ceremonial events on horseback. She was head of community relations in an inner London Borough and at the time of her retirement was the Chief Inspector in charge of public order training for the Metropolitan Police. She has now retrained as a veterinary nurse. Sonia comes from a farming background and is passionate about the countryside and village life. She moved to Lavenham with her husband at the start of 2020 and has since developed a range of local interests. |
![]() Our Board member, Mrs Doreen Twitchett BEM, is the Chair of the Good Neighbour Scheme and started the Dementia Alliance in the village. She therefore has a very good understanding of the needs of our elderly residents. She has lived in the village all of her life and is well known and respected. In the Queen's 2021 New Year Honours list Doreen was awarded The British Empire medal for her work in the community. |

![]() Our board member Dr Alison Pooley’s background and experience is in housing and research, which most recently has focused on resilience in communities with an emphasis on our ageing population. She is currently the Chair of Trustees for Colman’s Cottages (almshouses) in Brent Eleigh and a trustee for the Legacy East Almshouse Partnership, an umbrella organisation for a collection of 14 smaller almshouse charities. Alison is Programme Leader for the M.Arch Sustainable Architecture course at the Centre for Alternative Technology and has lived in Lavenham since 2014 where she has local family connections. |
